Yesterday I asked what role the government should have in fostering alternative energy breakthroughs. The people who think the government can help a lot with this sort of thing often cite two examples:

1. Kennedy's race to the moon

2. The Manhattan Project to build a nuclear bomb

What do those two efforts have in common? Answer: no profit.

That's entirely different from the energy situation. Whoever figures out a way to cheaply turn seawater into fuel is going to be very rich. I would be surprised if there are any good ideas in the energy field going unfunded at the moment.

I know, the two (possibly 3 and at max, 4) people that read my blogs prefer the pictures of the family and all the fun activities we have been doing. Well, I do not yet have any pictures yet because all we have been doing is moving in, but I wanted to keep you coming back just in case I posted something. We are going to the beach today and so I hope to get some pictures to post from that outing. We also have plans for the 4th of July so I will hopefully have some pictures from that to share. In the meantime, I have not posted a Demotivator lately so I thought I would share another one with you.

I have a link to a blog that I check regularly that I think is really funny called IMAO. While I do not always agree with all opinions stated there, I read a spoof editorial by Obama that is soooo funny that I wanted to share it with both people that check my blog. Click here to go to the site. I thought it was really funny and worth mentioning.
